Senior Software Engineer – Python & Node.js

Processing Partners – Kairossys is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 4+ years of professional software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Develop robust backend systems using Python and Node.js.
- Design and develop REST APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Debug and troubleshoot application, API, and backend service issues.
- Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and application security best practices.
- Work with Git-based development workflows and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other technical teams.
- Review existing systems and contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to software engineering best practices.





Mandatory Skills

- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Strong understanding of backend application development.
- Solid experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Good understanding of asynchronous programming and API architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting production-level applications.
- Good understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
- Experience with Redis, message queues, or background processing.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience working with cloud-hosted applications is an advantage.

- Solid communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently handle backend development tasks and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
