HumCommerce is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Delivery Manager to own a portfolio of software and eCommerce projects for global customers.

This is a hands-on delivery leadership role. You will stay close to customers and engineering teams, own delivery outcomes and project commercials, identify risks early, step into troubled projects, and ensure commitments are met.

We are looking for someone who has grown beyond managing individual projects but has remained close to actual software delivery. You will mentor Project Managers and work closely with Engineering Leads and the founders to continuously improve how we deliver.

For a strong performer, this role offers a clear path toward broader delivery leadership, including Head of Delivery, as HumCommerce grows.

What You'll Own

- End-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent customer projects.
- Scope, timelines, effort, budget, risks, dependencies, quality, and customer health.
- Project commercials, including effort burn, budget variance, change requests, utilization, and margins.
- Customer communication, expectations, escalations, and difficult delivery situations.
- Recovery of projects that are at risk or off-track.
- Planning, estimation, resource allocation, and delivery predictability.
- Mentoring Project Managers to become stronger, more independent delivery leaders.
- Working with Engineering Leads to balance customer commitments, technical constraints, and quality.
- Supporting presales, estimation, SOWs, and customer discussions when required.
- Using delivery metrics, automation, and AI to improve productivity, predictability, and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

- 12-18 years of overall experience with strong software project and delivery management experience.




- Experience owning multiple concurrent customer projects across different teams.
- Strong understanding of the complete SDLC, including estimation, planning, development, QA, release, and support.
- Experience delivering eCommerce, web, SaaS, enterprise applications, integrations, or custom software.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, including experience with international customers and difficult conversations.
- Ability to convert scope and estimates into realistic delivery plans and customer commitments.
- Experience managing project budgets, effort burn, change requests, and delivery margins.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks early, recover troubled projects, and rebuild customer confidence.
- Experience mentoring Project Managers, Technical Leads, or Engineering Leads.
- Practical understanding of Agile delivery without being overly process-driven.
- Robust ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving, relatively flat organization.

You May Be a Good Fit If... You are currently a Senior Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or Senior Delivery Manager and are ready to take ownership of a broader portfolio of customers and projects.

We are particularly interested in people who have remained close to customers, engineering teams, project commercials, and actual delivery outcomes, rather than moving primarily into PMO governance and executive reporting.

Preferred Experience





Experience with any of the following is useful, but not mandatory:

- Adobe Commerce / Magento
- Shopify / Shopify Plus
- B2B or Headless Commerce
- ERP, CRM, PIM, CPQ, payment, and third-party integrations
- APIs and custom web applications
- Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp
- CI/CD and cloud platforms
- AI-assisted software delivery and development

PMP, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are welcome, but practical delivery experience matters more than certifications.
