Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Exadata DBA with deep expertise in Exadata platform administration, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. The candidate will independently own the database track of a migration program engaging with the customer to gather requirements, documenting current, intermediate, and target-state database environments, and producing HLD/LLD designs for Exadata migrations.

Key Responsibilities

Exadata Architecture & Administration

- Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata Database Machine environments, including compute nodes, storage cells, and InfiniBand/RoCE fabric.
- Develop HLD, LLD, and technical architecture documentation for Exadata database environments.
- Manage Oracle RAC clusters, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Grid Infrastructure.
- Design and maintain Data Guard configurations for high availability and disaster recovery. Migration & Requirement Gathering
- Capture database migration requirements from the customer, including sizing, downtime windows, and dependencies.
- Document current-state database setting (platform, version, size, dependencies, integrations).
- Define intermediate and target-state Exadata architecture and migration approach.
- Lead database migrations to/from Exadata using RMAN, Data Pump, Oracle GoldenGate, and cross-platform transportable tablespaces.
- Develop migration runbooks, cutover plans,



validation scripts, and rollback procedures. Platform Operations
- Perform Exadata quarterly patching using OEDA/patchmgr, including storage cell, compute node, and InfiniBand switch patching.
- Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning across the Exadata estate.
- Manage backup and recovery strategy using RMAN integrated with enterprise backup platforms. Documentation & Leadership
- Produce architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and customer-facing design documentation.
- Act as the technical SME for Oracle Exadata technologies; mentor engineers and lead governance reviews. Required Skills

Preferred Experience

- 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience, with L3/L4 Exadata platform expertise. • Proven experience leading database migrations to/from Exadata as part of data center or platform transformation programs.
- Experience authoring HLD/LLD and current/intermediate/target-state documentation for customer delivery.

Oracle certifications (OCP/OCE Exadata) preferred.
