Senior Interior Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take ownership of residential interior projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate should have a robust design sensibility, excellent knowledge of materials and detailing, and the ability to independently manage clients, vendors, consultants, and execution teams.

The role requires someone who can balance creativity, functionality, budgets, timelines, and execution realities while delivering a high-quality design experience to the client.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Concept Development

- Develop design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, layouts, and detailed design presentations.
- Translate client requirements and lifestyle preferences into cohesive interior design solutions.
- Develop concepts across living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, furniture, lighting, and other spaces.
- Ensure designs are aesthetically strong, functional, practical, and aligned with project budgets.

2. Project Ownership

- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects from initial briefing through execution and handover.
- Prepare and maintain design timelines and ensure deliverables are completed as per project schedules.




- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Review drawings and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Conduct regular site visits and resolve design and execution-related issues.

3. Client Management

- Lead design discussions and presentations with clients.
- Understand client expectations, preferences, and concerns and translate them into actionable design decisions.
- Manage design revisions professionally while maintaining project timelines and commercial considerations.
- Build strong and long-term relationships with clients.
- Present design options, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories confidently.

4. Technical & Execution

- Prepare/review detailed drawings, working drawings, furniture drawings, elevations, sections, and specifications.
- Have a strong understanding of materials, finishes, hardware, furniture, lighting, electrical and other interior elements.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Review shop drawings and samples before production/installation.
- Identify potential execution challenges early and provide practical design solutions.

5. Team Management

- Guide and mentor junior designers and design associates.
- Allocate design responsibilities and review the team's output.
- Maintain design quality and consistency across projects.
- Coordinate effectively with the sales, procurement, project management, and execution teams.

6. Vendor & Material Management





- Develop strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, hardware, fabrics, and accessories.
- Coordinate with vendors for samples, quotations, drawings, and execution requirements.
- Stay updated on recent materials, products, technologies, and design trends.
- Assist in evaluating materials and design solutions based on aesthetics, quality, durability, and cost.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of residential interior design
- Excellent design and visualization skills
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualization software, and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field .
- Relevant professional experience in premium residential interiors will be preferred.
