Project Designer – Commercial Interiors

Location: Delhi

Work Arrangement: Work from Office

Work Days: Five Days a week (Mon - Fri)

Compensation: INR 8.40 LPA to 14.00 LPA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Designer to join a design-led commercial interiors practice, specializing in large-scale hospitality, institutional, clubhouse, and office environments. This mid-senior role offers the opportunity to lead complex design challenges where strategic thinking and technical precision intersect.

The successful candidate will drive projects from initial concept through design development, technical coordination, and site execution, supported by a Senior Lead who provides mentorship rather than micromanagement. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives on translating client briefs into compelling narratives and delivering robust, buildable solutions that withstand rigorous review processes.

Responsibilities

- Transform client briefs into cohesive design narratives and high-impact presentations that effectively communicate value to stakeholders.
- Conduct critical reviews of Government Financial Committee (GFC) drawings to identify and resolve potential errors before they impact site operations.
- Lead consultant and MEP coordination efforts independently,



ensuring seamless integration with minimal senior oversight.
- Mentor and guide a team of 2-3 junior designers through effective delegation, constructive reviews, and strategic course corrections.
- Integrate practical considerations regarding material selection, cost efficiency, and constructibility directly into design discussions and decisions.
- Manage approximately 50% of site visits independently, utilizing field observations to refine and inform ongoing design strategies.

Requirements:

- Possess 6-8 years of professional experience in project design, commercial interiors, or design-led delivery; solid adjacent backgrounds are welcome if accompanied by proven design acumen.
- Demonstrate a robust design vocabulary supported by technical depth, extending beyond mere visual rendering capabilities.
- Exhibit the ability to own and drive workstreams autonomously without requiring constant direction.
- Show versatility and comfort across various project typologies, avoiding reliance on a single niche or style.
- Display the instinct to proactively identify and remove workflow bottlenecks quietly, rather than escalating issues unnecessarily.
