Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Feature Writer to produce in-depth, well-researched feature articles, interviews, and trend pieces for the salon, spa, and beauty trade audience. The ideal candidate can independently drive a story from concept to publication - sourcing interviews, structuring narratives, and writing copy that resonates with industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualize, research, and write feature articles, cover stories, trend reports, and profile pieces for print and digital platforms
- Conduct interviews with industry leaders, salon/spa owners, and beauty brand founders
- Pitch story ideas aligned with industry trends and editorial calendar
- Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to ensure features are well-paced and visually supported
- Edit and refine drafts for clarity, tone,



and accuracy
- Ensure all content meets deadlines and editorial standards
- Stay current on developments in the salon, spa, and beauty business landscape

Requirements

- 4–5 years of experience in feature writing/journalism, with prior experience covering the beauty, salon, spa, or wellness industry (required)
- Strong portfolio of published feature articles, ideally including beauty/wellness/lifestyle trade content
- Excellent written English with a strong narrative and storytelling sense
- Ability to conduct and structure interviews independently
- Must be based in Mumbai; willing to work from office/hybrid as required
- Strong research skills and attention to editorial detail
- Good to Have
- Experience writing for digital-first or multi-platform publications
- Basic understanding of SEO for editorial content
- Existing network of industry contacts in the beauty/wellness space
