Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Design Engineer role based in Mysore.

The Senior Design

Engineer will lead the design and development of transformers, chokes, and related magnetic products, ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include interpreting customer specifications, performing design calculations, creating and updating CAD models and drawings, and collaborating with production teams to support prototyping and manufacturing. The role involves reviewing and improving existing designs, conducting root-cause analysis for product issues, and working closely with quality and testing teams to validate designs.

The Senior Design

Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to design standards and documentation,



and support continuous improvement across design and engineering processes.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with demonstrated experience developing components or systems for industrial or electronics applications.
- Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of materials, tolerances, thermal considerations, and manufacturing processes relevant to transformers and chokes.
- Electrical Engineering skills, with knowledge of magnetic circuits, power electronics fundamentals, and design for sensing and power applications.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling, and ability to create clear, production-ready documentation.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with magnetics or similar electromechanical products.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements, perform engineering calculations, and apply relevant industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple design projects concurrently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and support customer-specific projects.
- Familiarity with ISO-based quality systems and continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
