Job Title: Senior DB Python Application Support Lead

We are looking for an experienced DB/Python Application Support Lead with strong expertise in Python, database development, SQL, and application/production support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience along with the ability to lead and mentor a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of application support professionals.
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex application and database-related issues.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Python-based scripts/applications supporting business and operational requirements.
- Work extensively with databases and SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Monitor application and database performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and other cross-functional teams for issue resolution and application maintenance.
- Handle production issues, escalations, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
- Coordinate with vendors and external stakeholders for critical/escalated issues.




- Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing and training sessions for team members.
- Ensure adherence to application support processes, best practices, and service standards.
- Stay updated with relevant technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Python programming/scripting experience
- Strong database development and SQL skills
- Experience in Application Support / Production Support
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in team handling, mentoring, and technical leadership
- Good understanding of application performance and incident management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and handling escalations

Preferred Background Candidates with experience in Python + Database/SQL + Production/Application Support environments will be preferred.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
