The Opportunity /n The Senior Country Manager will represent Swinburne University of Technology within the /n assigned South Asia market and will play a key role in driving high-quality international /n student recruitment and business development outcomes. /n The Senior Country Manager will generate high-quality student leads and applications /n and work closely with Swinburne's Future Students and Marketing teams to convert /n enquiries and applicants into enrolments. The role will also provide regular performance /n reporting, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership across /n the University. /n Role Summary /n The role will be accountable for delivering annual recruitment targets while operating /n within Swinburne's strategic, financial, quality and compliance parameters. This will involve /n developing new recruitment channels, strengthening existing partnerships, managing /n education agents, delivering market-specific campaigns and events, and continuously /n evaluating recruitment performance and return on investment. /n The Senior Country Manager will also act as a market expert, providing authoritative /n advice to internal stakeholders on international recruitment trends, competitor activity, /n market developments, legislation, student behaviour, and emerging opportunities. /n Key Responsibilities /n Strategy and Planning /n ● Develop and implement sophisticated, multi-channel international student /n recruitment and sales strategies for the assigned market. /n ● Develop and implement sophisticated, multi-channel international student /n recruitment and sales strategies for the assigned market. /n ● Develop quarterly activity plans and contribute to long-term international /n recruitment strategies. /n ● Identify new business development opportunities, recruitment channels, /n partnerships, and market opportunities. /n ● Achieve annual recruitment targets through the effective use of available tools and /n resources, including scholarships and genuine student assessment processes. /n ● Ensure recruitment activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to the /n required standard /n ● Regularly evaluate recruitment plans, activities, and outcomes to maximise return /n on investment. /n ● Undertake specialist market research to inform strategies, proposals, business /n cases, product development, policies, and procedures. /n Student Recruitment and Marketing /n ● Lead marketing, sales, recruitment, partnership, and business development /n activities across the assigned markets. /n ● Develop innovative marketing and recruitment plans with strong digital /n components /n /n

- Work closely with Future Students and Marketing teams to convert enquiries and
/n /n applicants into enrolments /n ● Represent Swinburne at education fairs, exhibitions, alumni sessions, agent /n briefings, school visits, partner information sessions, and government-led /n recruitment events. /n ● Conduct seminars, interview programs, workshops, and recruitment activities for /n prospective students.
/n ● Develop and maintain a network of feeder schools and deliver initiatives targeted /n at prospective students. /n ● Develop parent, guardian, influencer, and student engagement strategies in /n collaboration with Swinburne stakeholders. /n ● Support and, where required, lead Swinburne roadshows, open days, and other /n market-based recruitment initiatives. /n ● Manage the local production, storage, and distribution of promotional materials as /n required. /n ● Support regular social media activity and digital engagement across the assigned /n region. /n Agent and Partnership Management /n ● Build, manage, and leverage a diverse network of education agents and /n recruitment partners /n ● Ensure effective engagement, training, support, and compliance across /n Swinburne's primary recruitment channel. /n ● Identify opportunities to optimise existing recruitment partnerships and develop /n new partnerships. /n ● Develop and maintain relationships with schools, educational institutions, /n sponsoring organisations, alumni, government bodies, and other strategic /n stakeholders. /n ● Develop and service partnerships with schools and academic institutions, including /n articulation and Study Abroad opportunities /n ● Provide timely training and support to agents to improve application quality, /n completeness, and conversion. /n ● Monitor agent activity and ensure compliance with Swinburne requirements and /n relevant legislation. /n ● Participate in agent management initiatives, quality assurance activities, audits, /n and continuous improvement projects. /n Market Intelligence and Data Analysis /n ● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international student recruitment trends, market /n developments, competitor activity, and regulatory changes. /n ● Provide performance data, analytical reports, market intelligence, and strategic /n advice to senior management. /n /n

- Analyse application-to-offer, visa approval, application completeness, and other
/n /n recruitment metrics. /n ● Maintain knowledge of and, where applicable, use StudyLink Connect and other /n relevant technology platforms. /n ● Provide insights into student decision-making, customer acquisition, engagement, /n and conversion. /n Compliance and Risk Management /n ● Ensure recruitment activity is undertaken within Swinburne's established risk and /n compliance frameworks Contribute to marketing content and promotional /n activities. /n ● Maintain specialist knowledge of relevant Australian and international legislation, /n overseas education systems, cultural protocols, and business practices. /n /n
- Maintain a solid understanding of the ESOS Act 2000 and the Nation Code.

- Complete genuine student background checks and contribute to genuine student-
/n /n related intelligence gathering. /n ● Participate in compliance audits and initiatives designed to improve recruitment /n quality and University performance /n Key Performance Indicators /n The Senior Country Manager will be accountable for a set of annually approved KPIs, which /n may include : /n /n

- Delivery of regular market intelligence and insight reports.

- Completion and recording of education agent training.
