Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Civil Engineer at Water Stewardship.

The Senior Civil

Engineer will lead the planning, design, and review of civil and stormwater management projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design drawings and specifications, performing calculations and hydraulic modeling, developing project scopes and schedules, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role involves mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance, and contributing to quality assurance procedures across projects.

Engineer will also support proposal development, participate in client meetings, and help advance best practices in sustainable water and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

- Strong background in Civil Engineering and experience working as a Civil Engineer on infrastructure and water-related projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including site design, grading, utilities, and related project documentation.
- Experience in Planning activities such as feasibility studies, project scoping, permitting strategy, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
- Specialized knowledge in Stormwater Management, including drainage design, flood mitigation, and green infrastructure solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Experience with design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD/Civil 3D, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools) and strong analytical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare clear technical reports and present findings to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines reliably.
- Experience with sustainability-focused projects, environmental regulations, or water resource management is beneficial.
