Role DescriptionThe Semi Senior Auditor – UK Statutory Audit will support and execute audit assignments for a portfolio of UK-based clients, including Limited and Public Limited Companies. The role involves assisting with audit planning, fieldwork, testing, working paper preparation, financial statement review, and audit completion in accordance with relevant UK accounting and auditing standards.

Responsibilities include performing substantive audit procedures, testing internal controls, reviewing financial information, analysing transactions and variances, and ensuring appropriate audit documentation. The role will also involve assisting with group company audits, identifying audit issues, and escalating complex matters to the Senior or Manager.

The Semi Senior Auditor will regularly liaise with UK-based clients and internal teams to obtain information, clarify queries, and ensure timely completion of assigned audit work. The role requires adherence to The Dot HQ’s quality,



confidentiality, compliance, and client-specific audit procedures.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, Pune, and Mumbai, requiring close coordination with the local team and UK clients.

Qualifications

- 2–3 years of relevant audit experience, preferably post-articleship, with exposure to UK Statutory Audit.
- Qualified / Part-Qualified CA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Strong understanding of UK Statutory Audit, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 105, and IFRS will be an advantage.
- Experience in auditing UK Limited and Public Limited Companies.
- Knowledge of audit planning, substantive testing, analytical procedures, internal control testing, and audit working papers.
- Experience with CaseWare, CCH, IRIS, or similar audit software will be an advantage.
- Exposure to accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to analyse financial information, identify variances and audit risks, and document findings appropriately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly when communicating with UK-based clients.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills with a professional and ethical approach to client service and confidentiality.
- Willingness to work in office in Coimbatore, Pune, or Mumbai and adapt to the processes and quality standards of a global offshore services firm.
