Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior 2D Draftsman with 3–5 years of experience who can independently take ownership of the complete technical drafting process for interior projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AutoCAD, interior detailing, working drawings, and construction documentation and should be capable of converting design concepts into accurate, execution-ready drawings with minimal supervision.

The role will also involve working closely with junior designers and draftsmen, contributing to design discussions, and helping solve technical and detailing challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently prepare complete 2D working drawings for residential and luxury interior projects.
- Develop detailed drawings for:
- Furniture and bespoke furniture
- Kitchens and wardrobes
- Wall panelling
- False ceilings
- Flooring
- Doors
- Electrical and lighting layouts
- Plumbing layouts
- Bathrooms
- Joinery and cabinetry
- Other interior architectural elements
- Prepare accurate plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings.
- Convert 3D designs and concepts into technically accurate 2D drawings.
- Ensure drawings are dimensionally accurate, coordinated, and execution-ready.




- Take ownership of assigned drawing packages from initial drafting through revisions and final issue.
- Coordinate with interior designers, 3D visualisers, site teams, vendors, and consultants.
- Review drawings for discrepancies, missing dimensions, clashes, and practical execution issues.
- Understand materials, construction methods, joinery, hardware, and site execution requirements.
- Incorporate design changes, site conditions, and client requirements into drawings.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layer systems, naming conventions, title blocks, and documentation.
- Work with junior designers/draftsmen and guide them when required.
- Participate in design discussions and help junior designers think through practical detailing and technical solutions.
- Identify technical challenges proactively and suggest practical solutions.
- Help improve the company's overall drafting and documentation standards.

Requirements

- 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, or construction documentation.
- Excellent command of AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of interior working drawings and construction detailing.
- Ability to independently create drawings with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, materials, joinery, furniture construction,



and execution methodology.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
- Strong spatial understanding and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with designers, vendors, and site teams.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drawings and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of the following will be an advantage:
- SketchUp
- 3ds Max
- V-Ray / Corona
- Revit
- Photoshop
- Microsoft Excel The Ideal Candidate

We are not looking for someone who is only a CAD operator.

We need someone who can look at a design and independently understand:

What drawings are required → How the element needs to be constructed → How it should be detailed → What dimensions and information the site/vendor needs → How everything should be coordinated.

You should be comfortable taking a design and saying:

«“I can take ownership of the complete 2D technical package and make it execution-ready.”»

The person should also be comfortable collaborating with junior designers, discussing design intent, identifying practical issues, and helping the team arrive at technically sound solutions.

Compensation

₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and technical capability.

Candidates demonstrating exceptional technical detailing, independent project handling, and strong interior construction knowledge may be considered for higher compensation.
