We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Python Test Automation and Backend/API Testing. The role involves designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, testing backend services and APIs, and contributing to the quality and reliability of cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
- Perform backend and API testing and develop automated API test scripts.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for APIs, databases, and cloud applications.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure application testability and code quality.
- Develop and optimize database testing strategies using PostgreSQL.
- Work with Azure Cloud services and implement cloud-native testing solutions.
- Use Squash for test management and test execution.
- Monitor and improve test coverage and automation efficiency.
- Troubleshoot application and test-environment issues.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Must-Have Skills
- 7–8 years of experience in SDET / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong experience in Python Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience in Backend/API Testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL / Database Testing.
- Practical experience with Azure Cloud.
- Experience with Squash or similar test management tools.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
