What Will You Do in this Role
- Experience in handling high-traffic web services
- Experience in practices like Agile, peer reviews, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
- Ability to excel individually and in a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Brainstorm with the team on re-architecting an existing product for scale
- Design architecture for a pipeline, solving scale issues for a production service
- Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews
What You'll Need to be Successful in this Role
- 1-3 years of hands-on coding and software design
- Proven track record of completing projects on time with a robust sense of ownership
- Expertise in Python (experience with other languages works, but our code is in Python, you must be able to get up to speed quickly)
- Expertise in Python frameworks like Django, Flask, etc.
- Experience in working with AWS tools
- Strong expertise in any one of the database systems like Postgres, Redis, Redshift, S3, DynamoDB
- Curiosity to look into problems and determination to identify solutions
- Instinct to identify possible problem areas and the ability to pre-empt a misstep
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment while building positive work relationships
