Role & responsibilities

- Plan and arrange procurement of raw materials, components, consumables and packaging based on production requirements and inventory status.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials to prevent production stoppages.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery schedules, shortages and material quality issues.
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Finance to align material availability with the manufacturing plan.
- Maintain material planning records, open purchase order status and shortage reports.
- Identify slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory and support corrective actions.
- Support supplier performance monitoring for delivery, quality and responsiveness.
- Ensure material storage, identification and traceability practices support operational requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline.
- Experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory control or manufacturing supply chain preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is an advantage.
