SAP Test Manager, Manager

Role Purpose The SAP Test Manager will lead functional, automated and performance testing across SAP transformation, implementation, upgrade and application management engagements. The role will own test strategy, governance, delivery assurance, quality reporting and release-readiness recommendations, while helping establish reusable capabilities within the SAP Testing Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Define the overall SAP test strategy, covering functional and non-functional testing, governance, quality gates, environments, test data, resources and reporting.
- Lead System Integration Testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, data migration testing, security testing, User Acceptance Testing and production-readiness validation.
- Define the performance-test approach, including workload models, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, environment requirements and monitoring needs.
- Oversee baseline, load, stress, volume, endurance, scalability and batch-performance testing for critical SAP business processes and integrations.
- Translate business volumes into realistic performance scenarios covering user concurrency, transaction mix, data volumes, response times, throughput and batch windows.
- Coordinate test planning and execution across SAP functional, technical, integration, data, security, Basis, infrastructure, automation and business teams.
- Establish requirements traceability, risk-based test coverage, entry and exit criteria, defect management and release-readiness reporting.




- Review performance results and facilitate bottleneck analysis across SAP applications, HANA databases, integrations, infrastructure, networks and custom developments.
- Provide executive-level reporting on test progress, defects, performance risks, dependencies, remediation priorities and go-live readiness.
- Define the automation and continuous-testing strategy, including integration with Agile and DevOps delivery pipelines.
- Develop reusable SAP test assets, automation libraries, workload models, templates, dashboards, estimation models and governance standards for the Testing CoE.
- Support SAP proposals, client workshops, effort estimation, tool selection and testing-solution presentations.
- Lead, coach and develop test leads, automation engineers, performance testers and test analysts.

Required Experience

- Strong enterprise application testing experience, including leadership roles on SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA programmes.
- Experience managing SIT, UAT, regression, automation and end-to-end business-process testing.
- Working knowledge of performance-test planning, workload modelling, scripting, execution, monitoring and results analysis.
- Understanding of SAP architecture, HANA, Fiori, integrations,



background jobs and application-performance considerations.
- Solid experience in test governance, risk management, defect management, requirements traceability and quality-gate assessment.
- Experience managing distributed teams and senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience in proposal development, effort estimation and testing-solution design.

Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, technology or a related discipline. ISTQB, SAP Activate, Agile, performance-testing, automation-tool or project-management certifications are preferred.

Achievement of quality and performance criteria, critical-process coverage, reduced defect leakage, automation adoption, early identification of performance bottlenecks, stakeholder confidence, reusable CoE assets and team capability development.
