Are you a seasoned technical leader with expertise in building high-throughput, real-time cloud architectures? SoftClouds LLC is expanding our core engineering team in Hyderabad! We are looking for an IoT Platform Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and operational excellence of our enterprise-grade IoT connectivity platform.

About the Role In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will architect and build production-grade solutions that process real-time telemetry data from global construction and industrial equipment fleets. You will bridge complex event-driven microservices, real-time stream processing, and serverless architectures on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect & Build: Design event-driven, hybrid serverless/container architectures using AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, Kinesis, DynamoDB Streams, and EventBridge.
- High-Throughput APIs: Build scalable RESTful APIs via API Gateway, incorporating advanced caching, rate limiting, and OAuth2/JWT security strategies.
- Stream & Telemetry Processing: Implement data ingestion pipelines handling MQTT, UDP, and binary protocols at scale.
- Performance & Optimization: Lead JVM tuning, connection pooling, SQL/OpenSearch query optimization, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Technical Leadership: Drive coding standards, conduct code reviews, resolve cross-team dependencies, and mentor engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience: 14 years of software engineering experience, including 6 years on AWS, 5 years in lead roles, and 2 years in IoT/telemetry platforms.
- Core Tech Stack:
- Java 17 (5 years) | Spring Boot 3.x | AWS SDK for Java v2 | Lombok | Lambda PowerTools
- Python 3 (PySpark / AWS Glue ETL & Scripting) | boto3 SDK | SQL | OpenSearch DSL
- AWS Services: AWS IoT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS, Redshift,



ECS/Fargate, Step Functions, S3 Data Lakes, CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudFormation/SAM.
- Architectural Patterns: Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, Stream Processing, Microservices, Circuit Breaker, Queue-Based Load Leveling, Multi-Tenancy.
- DevOps & Testing: Docker, ECR, Maven, GitHub Actions, JUnit 5, Log4j2.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

- Experience with Snowflake, Liquibase, Apache Spark/PySpark.
- Hands-on binary protocol parsing and Groovy scripting.
- Deep knowledge of telemetry/telematics domains, edge computing, and device management.

Pay: Up to ₹4,200,000.00 per year

- Event-Driven & API Design: How have you designed hybrid serverless/container microservices using AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and Kinesis, and how did you configure AWS API Gateway for rate limiting, caching, and security (OAuth2/JWT)?
- Performance Tuning & Technical Leadership: Walk us through a scenario where you led JVM tuning, database/OpenSearch query optimization, or infrastructure cost reduction. How did you mentor engineering teams and enforce code standards while resolving these performance bottlenecks?
