Role Description The Salon Trainer (Beauty / Salon Category) is a full time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The trainer is responsible for delivering structured technical and service training to salon and beauty professionals, covering grooming, beauty therapies, skin and hair care, and overall service standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting classroom and practical sessions, assessing skill levels, providing feedback, and designing training plans to improve technique, hygiene practices, and customer experience.

The role involves updating training content based on new products, tools, and industry trends, as well as ensuring adherence to Urban Company’s protocols, safety standards,



and brand guidelines.

The Salon

Trainer will collaborate with operations and quality teams to track performance outcomes, support certification processes, and help new and existing professionals transition smoothly onto the platform.

Qualifications

- Strong technical expertise in salon and beauty services, including hair care, skin care, grooming, and spa treatments.
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring beauty/salon professionals, with the ability to conduct practical and classroom-based sessions.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, sanitization standards, and customer service best practices in the beauty and wellness industry.
- Ability to design and refine training modules, assess learning outcomes, and provide structured feedback to trainees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage diverse learners and handle conflict or queries professionally.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (smartphone apps, online training materials, simple reporting) to manage schedules and track training data.
- Prior experience in a salon chain, academy, or beauty training institute is highly preferred.
- Relevant certification or diploma in cosmetology, beauty therapy, or hair and skin care; Skill India / NSDC certifications are an added advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune Division, with flexibility to conduct batches and sessions as per operational requirements.
