Role Description The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with shippers and carriers, and promoting SHM Transport Inc.’s freight brokerage services.

The Sales

Specialist will manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, prepare and deliver proposals, and negotiate rates and terms. Daily responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, coordinating with operations and dispatch teams, maintaining accurate sales records, and providing ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction. The role also includes contributing to sales planning, reporting performance metrics,



and participating in training to stay informed about market trends and service offerings.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including transparent verbal and written interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to prospect, qualify leads, present services, and close deals in a competitive logistics market.
- Candidates should possess Sales Management and Training skills to support team performance, share best practices, and contribute to structured sales processes.
- Relevant qualifications such as experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage are highly beneficial.
- Strong negotiation, time management, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in basic computer and CRM tools, are preferred.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory if supported by relevant experience.
