Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role is responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, conducting regular site inspections, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security regulations across construction projects.

The Safety

Officer will develop and implement safety plans, conduct risk assessments, and maintain records of incidents, corrective actions, and safety performance. Daily activities include organizing safety briefings, providing training to site staff, coordinating emergency preparedness measures,



and assisting with accident investigations and reporting. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and engineers to integrate safety requirements into work processes and promoting a strong safety culture among all employees and subcontractors.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices, with the ability to apply them on construction sites.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Skills in Safety Training, including planning and delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Understanding of site Security measures and protocols to protect personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in construction or engineering environments, preferably in industrial or commercial building projects.
- Ability to interpret safety regulations, standards, and client requirements, and to prepare clear documentation and reports.
- Robust observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse site teams.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for maintaining safety records and preparing presentations or training materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site, respond promptly to safety concerns, and support a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.
