Job Summary We are looking for a responsible and proactive Safety Officer with 1–2 years of experience to support workplace safety, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive measures, conducting safety awareness programs, and ensuring adherence to applicable fire and industrial safety standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential fire, health, and safety hazards.

Ensure compliance with fire safety, industrial safety, and workplace safety procedures.

Assist in developing and implementing fire prevention and emergency response plans.

Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, hydrants, fire alarms, emergency exits, firefighting systems, and other emergency equipment.

Coordinate and participate in fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, and safety training programs.

Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT)



and safety awareness sessions for employees, workers, and contractors.

Monitor and ensure compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system for hazardous and high-risk activities.

Educate employees and workers on fire prevention, PPE usage, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.

Ensure proper availability and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare relevant reports.

Maintain safety inspection records, checklists, training records, PTW records, TBT records, incident reports, and other safety documentation.

Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and relevant authorities on safety-related matters.

Support compliance with applicable fire safety, industrial safety, and occupational safety regulations.

Monitor housekeeping and safe working conditions at the workplace.

Assist in maintaining emergency equipment and ensuring readiness for emergency situations.

Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely closure of identified safety observations.

Qualification

Diploma in Fire & Safety from a recognized Fire & Safety College/Institute – Mandatory.

Additional certifications in Fire Safety, Industrial Safety,



Occupational Health & Safety, or related fields will be an advantage.

Candidates with relevant Fire & Safety education and practical exposure may also be considered.

Experience

1–2 years of relevant experience in Fire & Safety, Industrial Safety, EHS, or a related field.

Candidates with practical training/internship exposure in Fire & Safety may also be considered.

Required Skills

Positive knowledge of fire prevention and firefighting systems.

Understanding of industrial safety practices and emergency response procedures.

Basic knowledge of safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk control measures.

Knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and Toolbox Talks (TBT).

Good knowledge of PPE and safe work practices.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct safety training, awareness programs, and fire drills.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with teams and contractors.

Proactive approach toward identifying and resolving safety issues.
