Role Description The Safety Officer role is a full-time, in office position based in Mumbai.

The Safety

Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and security procedures across winery operations, offices, and visitor areas to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, coordinating risk assessments, and maintaining accurate safety records and reports. The role involves investigating accidents and near-misses, recommending corrective actions, and following up on implementation.

Officer will also deliver safety training, support emergency preparedness and drills,



collaborate with operations and HR teams, and promote a proactive safety culture for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with knowledge of relevant local regulations and industry best practices.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root-cause analysis.
- Candidates should possess practical Security skills, including access control awareness and coordination with security staff or external agencies.
- Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Relevant academic background in safety management, occupational health, environmental science, engineering, or a related field; professional safety certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, agriculture, or winery operations is beneficial, along with familiarity with risk assessments, PPE management, and emergency response planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate documentation and safety reports.
