Summary:

As a business analyst, you will work on project teams focused on life insurance and general insurance industry. You will be working collaboratively with project teams and business leaders to setup, update and own end-to-end insurance industry intelligence, including data collation, benchmarking, actionable insight generation, and executive-ready visualization. You will be responsible for data preparation as well as producing and analyzing underlying data statistics.

This is a high-impact role combining research, analytics, and data visualisation.

Role & responsibilities:

As a business analyst, your role will involve:

- Track the insurance sector and monitor key industry metrics through:
- Annual reports, investor presentations, and earnings calls
- Regulatory publications, circulars, and industry updates
- News flows, competitor disclosures, and market developments
- Build, maintain, and update structured datasets using company disclosures, regulatory data, and industry publications and other publicly available data sources.
- Conduct benchmarking, comparative analysis, and trend analysis across insurers and industry segments
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timely updates
- Automate data collection and reporting processes wherever feasible
- Synthesize large volumes of information into key themes, trends, and market developments
- Analyze industry and company-level data to generate actionable insights
- Identify trends, patterns, and underlying business drivers impacting the insurance sector
- Develop high-quality analytical outputs, presentations and data visualization models including
- PowerPoint presentations and insight decks
- Dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau
- Infographics and KPI outputs
- Benchmarking visuals
- Any other relevant data visualization and presentation,



depending on the underlying purpose.
- Translate complex datasets into intuitive business stories for senior stakeholders
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc industry insight report
- Support leadership teams with on-demand analysis and strategic inputs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide relevant data output and/or data visualisation to support client deliverables, proposal requirements and any other business requirement.

Requirement:

- Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or related field
- 25 years experience in consulting, research, strategy, or analytics
- Core Skills

- Ability to interpret financial statements and key metrices
- Experience in benchmarking and industry research
- Advanced proficiency in:
- MS-Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, data modeling)
- Solid PowerPoint (client / leadership-ready slides)
- Power BI and/or Tableau
- Ability to convert analysis into clear visual outputs
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
