ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Meclusions Studio is developing a new digital streaming and content platform focused on discovering, preserving and presenting the stories, culture, traditions, people and lesser-explored narratives of Bharat through high-quality digital content.

We are looking for a curious, intelligent and highly resourceful Research & Content Development Executive who can help us discover stories and transform information into engaging content.

This is not a conventional desk-research job.

You will potentially work across Research + Story Discovery + Content Development + Junior Scriptwriting + Fact-Checking, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to enter the world of Film, Television, OTT and Digital Content.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

RESEARCH

- Research historical, cultural, spiritual, social and contemporary subjects
- Gather information from books, archives, publications, credible websites and other sources
- Identify interesting people, places, events and stories
- Organise research into usable production notes

STORY SCOUTING This is a particularly key part of the role.

You will constantly look for:

- Untold or lesser-known stories

- Interesting personalities

- Remarkable locations
- Temples, heritage sites and cultural traditions

- Historical events
- Local legends and oral histories
- Human-interest stories
- Stories suitable for documentaries, interviews and episodic content

Your job is to sometimes walk into the office and say: “I found a story. We should make this.”

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Convert research into practical content ideas:

Research → Idea → Story Angle → Treatment → Episode Concept

You may help develop

- Documentary concepts

- Interview topics

- Episode ideas
- Short-form content

- Educational / cultural segments

- Animated story concepts

- Digital series concepts
- Research dossiers for the Director / Writer

JUNIOR SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT You will assist senior writers / directors with:

- Story outlines

- Episode structures

- Narration drafts





- Interview questions
- Research-based scripts
- Voice-over material

- Scene descriptions
- Script references and supporting information

You don't have to be an accomplished screenwriter. We are looking for someone who can write clearly, structure information logically and gradually learn professional script development.

FACT-CHECKING

Accuracy is extremely important.

You will be expected to:

- Verify dates, names, locations and historical claims
- Cross-check information using multiple credible sources
- Separate established facts from legends, traditions and interpretations

- Maintain source references
- Flag information that cannot be independently verified
- Help prevent incorrect information from reaching production

WHO CAN APPLY?

- 1–3 years experienced researchers / content writers
- Mass Communication / Journalism / History / Literature / Indology / Cultural Studies graduates
- Scriptwriting and film-school graduates

Academic qualifications are helpful, but intellectual curiosity and research ability matter greatly.

SKILLS WE VALUE

You should have

- Excellent internet research ability
- Strong reading and comprehension skills
- Good Hindi and English communication
- Strong written English and/or Hindi
- Ability to distinguish reliable information from questionable sources

- Good storytelling instinct

- Attention to detail
- Ability to organise large amounts of information
- Curiosity about Bharat's history, culture and society
- Willingness to learn filmmaking and OTT content development

Knowledge of Sanskrit, Gujarati or other Indian languages can be an added advantage.

THE IDEAL PERSON

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious.

Someone who can spend an afternoon researching one subject and suddenly discover:





a forgotten personality → an unusual location → an incredible historical event → a documentary idea.

If you enjoy reading, investigating, asking questions, discovering unusual stories and then explaining them clearly, you may fit this role extremely well.
