We are seeking a highly experienced Renewable Energy Expert / Team Leader to support the Government of Chhattisgarh/Tripura in strengthening renewable energy program monitoring, project management, and capacity-building initiatives. The selected expert will work closely with the State Energy Department, Renewable Energy Development Agency (REDA), and DISCOMs to drive effective implementation and oversight of renewable energy projects.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh/ Agartala, Tripura (Full time deployment with State Energy Department)

Assignment Duration- 1 year

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Project Management

- Lead and manage the overall delivery of the assignment.
- Coordinate project activities, stakeholders, and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the State Energy Department and associated agencies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of outputs and milestones.
- Conduct impact assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
- Prepare and submit project completion reports.

Renewable Energy Advisory
- Lead program monitoring and management activities for renewable energy projects in Chhattisgarh/Tripura
- Support State Energy Department, REDA, and DISCOMs in project implementation and performance monitoring.




- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Facilitate training programs and capacity-building workshops for government officials and utility staff.
- Provide technical advisory support related to renewable energy sector initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Management, MBA, or related field preferred.

Experience
- Proven experience managing projects of similar scale and complexity.
- Familiarity with ADB or other Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) funded projects.
- Experience supporting state-owned power utilities, renewable energy agencies, or government energy departments.
- Demonstrated involvement in monitoring or managing at least two renewable energy projects.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with renewable energy companies in India.

Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project management capabilities.
- Understanding of renewable energy policies, utility operations, and sector programs.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Language
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
