About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Engineer to support renewable energy program implementation and monitoring activities in Chhattisgarh and Tripura. The selected candidate will be deployed within the respective State Energy Department and work closely with state agencies, power utilities, and renewable energy development agencies to strengthen project implementation, monitoring, reporting, and capacity-building efforts.

The role will support the implementation of flagship renewable energy programs, including PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) and PM-KUSUM, while contributing to India's clean energy transition goals.

Locations: Raipur, Chhattisgarh / Agartala, Tripura, India

Assignment Duration: 12 Months(Contingent on winning the bid)

Key Responsibilities

Project Monitoring & Implementation Support

- Support the Renewable Energy Expert/Team Leader in monitoring renewable energy programs and projects.
- Assist in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
- Support implementation monitoring of PMSGMBY and PM-KUSUM initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and report project data and progress updates.
- Assist in identifying implementation challenges and recommending corrective actions.
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and project documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate closely with the State Energy Department, DISCOMs, Renewable Energy Development Agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate coordination between government departments and implementing agencies.
- Support meetings, workshops, consultations, and field monitoring activities.

Capacity Building & Technical Support
- Assist in delivering training and capacity-building programs for government officials and utility personnel.




- Provide technical support related to renewable energy project implementation and monitoring.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and dissemination of best practices.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience
- Experience assisting state-owned power utilities or renewable energy development agencies in monitoring or managing at least one renewable energy project.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with renewable energy companies in India.
- Experience supporting renewable energy project implementation, monitoring, or advisory assignments.
- Experience working with government agencies, utilities, or public-sector stakeholders is desirable.

Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies and project implementation.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with government agencies and multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills.

Language Requirements
- Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with State Energy Departments, DISCOMs, or Renewable Energy Development Agencies.
- Knowledge of solar energy programs and renewable energy policies in India.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a full time deployment role within a government environment.
