Additional Role Context
Why this role exists
- The Regional VP runs a region of TMT sales end to end: the P&L;, the Zonal Heads, and the district and counter execution that turns strategy into share.
- All four regions run under one national market framework, so growth is comparable, disciplined and margin-led rather than a set of local styles.
The national market framework (one scope)
- Every region operates on the same three pillars, under one scope.
- Contribution margin. Growth is measured by contribution, not tonnage alone. The region is run to protect and grow margin.
- Fixed-cost and team productivity. Output per member and return on fixed cost are managed as hard numbers, so the region scales efficiently.
- Counter share. Share of the counter, won district by district, is the true measure of market strength.
- East & NE leads the model. West Bengal must lead the framework, targeting 2X sales growth and competitive dominance through rigorous district and counter-level execution, with two dedicated Zonal Heads for North Bengal and South Bengal.
Regional scope
- Region / Indicative states / Special mandate.
- East & NE: West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and the North East, Sikkim – Lead the model: West Bengal 2X, two ZHs for North and South Bengal.
Measurable indices and scale of growth
- Targets are indicative and to be locked per region with the CSMO..
- Index / What it measures / Target .
- Volume growth – Regional TMT tonnage – +25 to 35% YoY (WB: 2X).
- Contribution margin – Region contribution and margin – Grow margin YoY under one framework.
- Counter share – Share of counter throughput – Top 2 or 3 in priority districts.
- Reach – Active billing counters – Rising quarter on quarter.
- Team productivity – Tonnage and contribution per member – Improve YoY, fixed cost held.
- Collections – DSO and overdue share – Within norm, overdue under 5%.
