Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Regional Credit Manager - Home Loans to lead and manage the credit underwriting function for the Home Loans business across the assigned region. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in credit appraisal, risk assessment, portfolio quality management, and team handling within the Housing Finance, Banking, or NBFC sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the regional credit underwriting function for Home Loan proposals.

- Evaluate and approve loan applications in line with organizational credit policies and risk guidelines.

- Conduct detailed credit assessments including income analysis, repayment capacity, property profile, and risk evaluation.

- Ensure high-quality loan portfolio management and maintain asset quality standards.

- Monitor credit processes, turnaround times (TAT), and operational efficiency across branches.

- Guide and mentor credit teams to ensure consistent underwriting standards.

- Coordinate with Sales, Technical, Legal, and Operations teams for seamless loan processing.

- Identify potential risks and recommend suitable risk mitigation measures.

- Drive policy compliance and support business growth while maintaining prudent credit practices.

Desired Candidate Profile





- Minimum 10 years of experience in Home Loan Credit Underwriting/Credit Management.

- Strong knowledge of retail mortgage lending, housing finance products, and credit risk assessment.

- Experience in managing regional credit operations and leading teams.

- Sound understanding of financial statement analysis, income assessment, bureau evaluation, and risk management.

- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven ability to balance business growth with portfolio quality.

Qualification

- Any Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory).

- Additional qualifications in Finance, Banking, or Risk Management will be an advantage.
