Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced R&D; Manager to lead the research and development efforts for industrial automation solutions, focusing on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and OEM integration projects. This role involves driving innovation, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering cutting-edge automation technologies that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. R&D; Strategy & Innovation

- Define and implement the R&D; strategy for AMRs, AGVs, and industrial automation solutions
- Identify emerging technologies in robotics, automation, IoT, AI, and Industry 4.0 for potential integration
- Lead innovation initiatives to create next-generation automation products

2. Product Development & Engineering

- Oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of AMRs, AGVs, and automation systems
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software engineering teams for seamless product development
- Ensure the R&D; outputs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards

3. Cross-functional Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of R&D; engineers, software developers, PLC engineers, and mechanical designers
- Drive collaboration across engineering, product management, and operations teams
- Foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement

4. Project Management & Delivery

- Manage multiple R&D; projects from concept to prototype to commercialization
- Define project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation




- Ensure on-time delivery of prototypes, validation, and production-ready designs

5. OEM & Customer Collaboration

- Work closely with OEM partners, system integrators, and clients for custom R&D; solutions
- Translate customer needs and feedback into technical requirements and innovative solutions
- Provide technical expertise during pre-sales, pilot projects, and proof-of-concept trials

6. Testing, Validation & Compliance

- Oversee prototype testing, field trials, and validation of R&D; outputs
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
- Implement robust quality assurance and reliability testing protocols

7. Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Maintain R&D; documentation, design records, patents, and intellectual property
- Ensure knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization
- Track industry trends, competitor developments, and technology benchmarks

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Automation Engineering
- 38 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or AMR/AGV product development
- Proven experience in leading R&D; teams and delivering innovative automation products
- Strong knowledge of robotics, PLCs, sensors, embedded systems, and industrial automation technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in OEM collaboration, system integration, or material handling automation
- Familiarity with IoT, AI, Industry 4.0, and smart factory solutions
- Knowledge of functional safety, industrial certifications, and regulatory standards
- Exposure to patent filing and IP management
