The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that gears and related components meet specified quality standards and tolerances. This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and adhering to industry standards and company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on gears and mechanical components.
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gear measuring machines, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to evaluate gear geometry (e.g., pitch, lead, runout, involute profile).
- Record inspection results and generate reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and documentation for traceability.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Assist in audits and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:Education & Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or certification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred.




- 0 – 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in gear or precision component manufacturing.

Skills & Knowledge:

- Solid knowledge of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and manufacturing processes ( CNC, hobbing, shaping, grinding, Profile Grinding).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with inspection tools and gauges.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, quality management software).
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Work Environment:

- Manufacturing floor and quality standard room environment.
- Use of PPE as required.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.
