Role Description The Quality Engineer role at Floking OPVC Pipes is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Quality

Engineer will oversee daily quality inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished OPVC pipe products, ensuring compliance with internal standards and relevant industry regulations.

Responsibilities include monitoring and improving quality control processes, documenting test results, conducting root cause analysis for defects, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves coordinating with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting audits and certifications.

The Quality





Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support training on quality practices for plant personnel.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Management to design, implement, and maintain effective quality systems and processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Product Quality to conduct inspections, testing, and measurement to ensure products meet specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance to develop and enforce standards, procedures, and documentation that support consistent quality outcomes.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, plastics, or piping industry, preferably in a plant or production environment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, SPC tools, root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone), and basic statistical analysis.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Polymer, or related engineering discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work collaboratively on the shop floor.
- Ability to prepare clear reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
