Quality Engineer (QC&A; Engineer 1)

Entry-level Quality Engineer in our Quality Control & Assurance team. You will carry out routine dimensional and visual inspection of precision parts with basic measuring instruments, support first-piece, in-process, and final inspection, and maintain traceable quality records, under the guidance of senior QC&A; Engineers.

What you will do:

- Measure parts with vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, plug and snap gauges as per the inspection plan
- Check parts visually for surface defects and damage against the drawing
- Tag parts OK / Not OK / Hold; if a part looks doubtful, hold it and inform your senior - never pass it
- Support first-piece and in-process inspection; pull samples and help with hardness, surface, and material tests
- Record readings neatly in registers / ERP-QMS and submit paperwork before the shift ends
- Keep tags, sample logs, and NC marking correct so every part can be traced
- Help update SPC charts and organise records and samples for audits
- Use only calibrated instruments (check the sticker first), keep them clean, and maintain 5S in the inspection area
- Follow all safety rules and PPE; follow the SOP exactly and ask when unsure

What we are looking for:





- B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 0-2 years in quality inspection; freshers welcome
- Basic knowledge of vernier, micrometer, and gauges (college lab experience is fine)
- Can read a basic engineering drawing; GD&T; basics are a plus
- Careful, honest with readings, and eager to learn
- Basic MS Excel; ERP/QMS entry is taught in-house
- Good to have: metrology / inspection training, ISO 9001 awareness, NDT awareness
