Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal, responsible for overseeing all quality control and assurance activities in the manufacturing of heavy steel equipment. The role involves developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and inspection plans to ensure products meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include supervising inspection teams, reviewing material and weld quality, analyzing test reports, documenting non-conformities, and driving corrective and preventive actions.

The manager will collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also includes maintaining quality records, preparing audit documentation, training staff on quality practices,



and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and documentation practices in heavy fabrication or similar manufacturing environments.
- Experience with inspection methods, measurement tools, and testing procedures for structural steel, welding, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements, and translate them into practical quality control procedures.
- Skills in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and quality-related software tools for reporting, tracking, and data analysis.
- Robust communication, leadership, and team coordination skills to work effectively with production, design, and client teams.
- Relevant engineering or technical degree/diploma (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering) preferred.
- Prior experience in heavy steel fabrication, infrastructure projects, or related industries will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining safe working practices on the shop floor.
