Tata Elxsi is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer - WiFi & Networking with strong expertise in wireless technologies, broadband networking, and protocol validation. The candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, performance validation, and root cause analysis of networking products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Validate and test WiFi standards including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
- Perform security testing on WPA2 and WPA3 wireless protocols.
- Test networking protocols such as DHCP, VLAN, IPv4, IPv6, MAP-T, and Dual Stack.
- Validate roaming and radio resource management features including 802.11r, 802.11k, and 802.11v.
- Execute testing on DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 4.0 based devices and gateways.
- Conduct throughput and performance testing using iPerf.
- Perform packet analysis and network debugging using Wireshark, tcpdump, and log analysis tools.
- Investigate issues, identify defects, and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA).




- Work closely with development and product teams for defect resolution and feature validation.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect tracking documentation.
- Support test automation initiatives using Java and Selenium.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Networking/WiFi Testing.
- Strong knowledge of 802.11 WiFi standards.
- Hands-on experience with WPA2/WPA3 security validation.
- Good understanding of DHCP, VLAN, IPv4, IPv6, MAP-T, and Dual Stack networking concepts.
- Experience in DOCSIS 3.1/4.0 testing.
- Expertise in Wireshark, tcpdump, packet capture analysis, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with iPerf performance testing.
- Strong debugging and RCA skills.
- Basic automation knowledge in Java and Selenium.
- Positive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
- Experience in Broadband Gateway, Router, Modem, or CPE Device Testing.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Linux networking environments.

Work Location: Chennai Notice Preference: Immediate to 15 Days Preferred.
