About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester / QA Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business and functional requirements, designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications before release.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Manual Testing, STLC, SDLC, test case design, defect management, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, and end-to-end testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to understand application behavior and testing scope.
- Participate in requirement analysis and identify testable requirements, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Prepare Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data, and Test Execution Reports.
- Execute test cases and document test results accurately.
- Perform Functional Testing to verify that application features work according to requirements.
- Perform Smoke Testing to validate application stability before detailed testing.
- Perform Sanity Testing after application changes or defect fixes.
- Perform Regression Testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new changes.
- Perform Retesting of defects after fixes are provided by developers.
- Perform Integration Testing to verify interactions between different modules or components.
- Perform System Testing and End-to-End Testing across complete business workflows.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar defect management tools.
- Provide detailed defect information including steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, severity, and priority.
- Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to analyze and resolve defects.




- Verify defect fixes and update defect status accordingly.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, requirement discussions, defect triage, and review meetings.
- Maintain testing documentation and provide regular testing status updates.
- Identify edge cases and negative test scenarios to improve application quality.
- Perform cross-browser and compatibility testing where applicable.
- Validate application UI, functionality, data flow, and business rules.
- Ensure adequate test coverage before application releases.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities when required.
- Assist with release validation and post-deployment verification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.

Manual Testing Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Strong knowledge of Testing Life Cycle and Test Levels.
- Experience in Test Scenario and Test Case Preparation.
- Good knowledge of Defect Life Cycle.
- Experience with Functional Testing.
- Experience with Smoke and Sanity Testing.
- Strong experience in Regression and Retesting.
- Experience in Integration, System, and End-to-End Testing.
- Good understanding of Positive and Negative Testing.
- Knowledge of Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalence Partitioning.
- Understanding of Severity vs. Priority.
- Good knowledge of Defect Reporting and Tracking.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Good understanding of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar tools.





API Testing – Preferred Candidates with basic hands-on experience in API testing will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs.
- Understanding of HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.
- Knowledge of HTTP status codes.
- Ability to validate API request and response data.
- Basic experience with Postman.
- Ability to validate JSON/XML responses.

Database Testing – Preferred
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
- Ability to retrieve and validate data from databases.
- Knowledge of SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, etc.
- Ability to perform basic data validation between application and database.
- Understanding of database testing concepts.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Manual Testing / Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
