OBJECTIVE:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer & Scrum Master Facilitator to design, build, and maintain automated and manual test suites that ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on testing skills with the ability to work effectively within a Scrum-based agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers throughout the sprint cycle.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing
- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks to support scalable, reusable test scripts
- Perform regression testing to ensure new releases do not break existing functionality
- Conduct functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across web/application layers
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution using JIRA
- Write and maintain automated test scripts using Java
- Continuously improving test coverage and automation efficiency

Agile & Scrum Collaboration

- Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to understand acceptance criteria and translate them into test scenarios
- Estimate testing effort for user stories during sprint planning
- Ensure quality gates are met before each sprint's Definition of Done is achieved




- Work within sprint timelines to deliver both manual validation and automated test coverage for each release
- Proactively flag risks or blockers during stand-ups that could impact sprint delivery

Process & Documentation

- Maintain clear, well-organized test documentation (test plans, test cases, test scripts)
- Log and track bugs/issues in JIRA with clear reproduction steps and severity/priority tagging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage and prioritize defects each sprint
- Support continuous integration/continuous testing practices within the automation pipeline.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing Proficiency in Java for writing and maintaining automated test scripts Experience building or working within an Automation Framework (e.g., Selenium-based or similar)
- Solid understanding of Regression Testing methodologies and best practices
- Practical experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment understanding of sprints, backlogs, and ceremonies
- Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking, sprint boards, and reporting Solid understanding of the Software Testing lifecycle (STLC) and QA best practices
- Solid grounding in Automation Engineering principles scripting, reusability, and maintainability of test suites.
