Mars India is a specialized manufacturer of automotive components, including LSM (Lumbar Support Motor), VBM (Vent Blower Motor), and PCB Assembly. We are seeking a result-oriented Purchase Manager for our manufacturing operations who can ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, consumables, and engineering items. The role requires strong coordination with production, planning, and stores teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling procurement costs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle procurement of raw materials, engineering items, spares, and consumables required for manufacturing

- Ensure continuous material availability to avoid production downtime

- Manage vendor development, evaluation, and performance tracking

- Lead price negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and rate contracts

- Coordinate closely with production planning (PPC), stores, and quality teams

- Monitor and control inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times

- Process and track purchase orders, deliveries, and vendor payments

- Develop local and alternate vendors to reduce dependency and risk

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and audits





- Maintain proper documentation and reporting for procurement activities

- Handle AMC, service contracts, and technical purchases when required

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain or related field

- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing purchase (plant-level exposure preferred)

- Robust knowledge of industrial materials, vendor sourcing, and cost structures

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle / etc.)

- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and vendor management skills

- Good understanding of inventory control and production requirements

- Knowledge of GST, compliance, and purchase documentation

- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment

- Production downtime due to material shortage

- Cost savings & negotiation effectiveness

- Vendor delivery adherence (OTIF – On Time In-Full)

- Inventory carrying cost & stock optimization

- Vendor development & risk mitigation

Pay: From ₹600,000.00 per year
