Role Description The Public Speaking and Communications Mentor is a full-time, remote role focused on guiding learners to develop confidence and clarity in verbal and non-verbal communication. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and delivering interactive online sessions, workshops, and practice activities that build public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

The mentor will provide constructive feedback on speeches, facilitate role-plays and group discussions, and support learners in overcoming stage fright and performance anxiety. Additional tasks include creating or refining training materials, aligning content with learning objectives,



tracking learner progress, and collaborating with the education team to continually improve the communication curriculum.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in public speaking, presentation delivery, and verbal communication.
- Experience coaching or mentoring learners in communication, confidence-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design engaging learning activities, including role-plays, speech drills, and interactive discussions.
- Proficiency with online teaching tools, video conferencing platforms, and digital collaboration environments.
- Explicit, empathetic, and inclusive communication style, with strong listening and feedback skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Education, English, Performing Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Prior experience in teaching, training, or coaching in an educational, corporate training, or extracurricular setting is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working remotely, managing schedules independently, and collaborating with a distributed team.
- Commitment to learner-centered education, cultural sensitivity, and non-discriminatory mentoring practices.
