About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Thiruvananthapuram. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive psychological support and therapeutic interventions to patients and their families across Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), Homecare, and Telehealth services. You will also contribute to team well-being and play an active role in capacity-building initiatives for allied healthcare workers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient & Family Care

- Collaborate with an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to provide holistic, patient-centered psychological care across IP, OP, Homecare, and Telehealth channels.
- Conduct psychological assessments and deliver targeted interventions to manage emotional distress, coping challenges, and mental health needs.
- Provide additional inputs and actionable strategies to enhance mental health outcomes for patients and their primary caregivers. 2. Staff Wellbeing & Team Support

- Offer professional psychological support to team members when appropriate, ensuring clear professional boundaries are strictly maintained.
- Identify and recommend workplace mental health practices and wellbeing activities to support overall team health. 3. Capacity Building & Training

- Participate in and contribute to ongoing training programs for allied healthcare workers.
- Design and develop practical skill-building modules and clinical education materials on behalf of the organization. 4. Monitoring, Reporting & Fieldwork





- Actively participate in regular team review meetings (both physical and online) to evaluate care plans and outcomes.
- Conduct field visits as required to support homecare services and community outreach.

- Participate in bi-monthly Clinical Supervision sessions for continuous professional development and quality assurance.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Clinical & Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, case formulation, and crisis intervention.

- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with doctors, nurses, social workers, and allied healthcare professionals in an IDT setup.
- Service Delivery Adaptability: Comfort in delivering care across diverse modalities, including Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), Homecare field visits, and Telehealth platforms.
- Active Listening & Empathy: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with patients, families, and team members.

- Instructional & Training Ability: Skills in developing training modules and conducting capacity-building sessions for non-mental health healthcare staff.
- Qualified Boundaries & Ethics: Strong understanding of ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in both patient and workplace support scenarios.
