Role Overview The Proto Testing Executive will be responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and documenting testing activities for prototype products and engineering samples. The role involves testing prototypes as per defined specifications, test plans, drawings, and SOPs, identifying failures or deviations, maintaining test records, and coordinating with Engineering, Design, Quality, Production, and other cross-functional teams for corrective actions and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform testing of prototype products, assemblies, components, and engineering samples as per approved test plans and specifications.
- Conduct functional, performance, electrical, mechanical, and reliability tests as applicable to the product.
- Verify prototype performance against design requirements and customer specifications.
- Prepare prototypes and test setups before testing.
- Ensure proper configuration, wiring, fixtures, instruments, and safety arrangements before starting tests.

1. Test Planning & Execution

- Understand engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, test procedures, and product requirements.
- Execute tests according to defined SOPs and testing protocols.
- Record test parameters, observations, results, and deviations accurately.
- Monitor critical parameters during testing and immediately report abnormal conditions.
- Support development and validation of new testing procedures and test methods.

1. Test Equipment & Instruments

- Operate electrical and electronic testing equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, battery cyclers,



insulation testers, hipot testers, thermal chambers, etc., as applicable.
- Ensure test equipment is properly calibrated and available before testing.
- Maintain basic records of equipment usage, calibration status, and maintenance.
- Identify abnormal instrument behavior and report equipment issues.

1. Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting

- Identify prototype failures, defects, abnormal performance, and test deviations.
- Conduct preliminary troubleshooting and fault identification.
- Coordinate with Design/R&D; and Quality teams for root-cause analysis.
- Support corrective and preventive actions based on test findings.
- Retest modified prototypes after corrective actions.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily/weekly testing reports and prototype test reports.
- Maintain test data, test logs, photographs, observations, and failure records.
- Maintain proper documentation of prototype revisions and test results.
- Prepare comparison reports between different prototype versions where required.
- Ensure all test records are traceable and properly maintained.

1. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with R&D;, Hardware, Firmware, Mechanical, Quality, Production, and Procurement teams during prototype testing.
- Communicate test results and failures to concerned engineers and reporting managers.
- Support Engineering teams during prototype build, debugging, validation, and design improvement activities.




- Participate in technical discussions related to prototype performance and testing.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Follow all testing safety procedures, SOPs, and EHS requirements.
- Ensure proper precautions while working with high-voltage batteries, electrical systems, power electronics, and other hazardous test setups.
- Stop testing and immediately escalate unsafe or abnormal conditions.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in prototype testing, product testing, validation, R&D; testing, or electrical/electronic testing.
- Experience in EV, battery, automotive, power electronics, or related industries will be an advantage.

Required Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of prototype testing and validation processes.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic test instruments.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of measurement techniques and test data recording.
- MS Excel and report preparation skills.
- Knowledge of battery/EV systems and CAN communication will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
