Company Description MSE Technology delivers high-impact digital experiences by combining best-in-class, technology-agnostic solutions with deep Data & MarTech expertise. The company focuses on building digital applications that strengthen and empower client brands. Insight-driven decision making is central to how MSE Technology enhances consumer engagement for its partners.

The team takes pride in creating world-class products and services and in collaborating closely with clients to bring their digital vision to life.

Team Overview:

Our Promotions & Incentives Operations team builds and maintains the promotions, rewards content, and reward catalogue that power our client's consumer loyalty programme across Japan, North America, and Europe. We are the team that turns an approved market brief into a live, correctly configured consumer experience - on the agreed date, to the agreed quality standard, and without disrupting what is already in market.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-driven, technically curious member to execute and improve our promotions, content, and catalogue operations. This role is central to ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability across our promotions, rewards, and catalogue workstreams, operating to defined SLAs in a multi-market environment.

We are hiring for aptitude as much as for tool experience. Two of the core platforms in our stack are proprietary, so nobody joins already knowing them. What matters far more is how quickly someone learns a new system, how they reason from a symptom to a root cause, and whether they question a brief that does not add up. We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in some of the areas below rather than all of them, and we will train the rest.

We are currently consolidating three previously separate functions — promotions, content, and catalogue into a single operations team. The successful candidate will begin in their area of strength and be cross-trained across the remaining areas, making this well suited to someone looking to broaden their operational scope.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promotions & Incentives Execution:

- Configure and build promotions, offers, and incentive mechanics from approved market briefs, working to defined quality and turnaround standards.
- Manage the progression of all builds through non-production environments into production, ensuring environment-specific configuration is correctly applied.
- Support market teams through User Acceptance Testing, resolving defects raised within agreed timelines.
- Support go-live windows and monitor launched activity through the agreed stabilisation period.

2. Content, Catalogue & Inventory Management:

- Author, update, and publish consumer-facing content across the application and connected surfaces via the Content Management System.
- Create and maintain reward catalogue items, including bulk and batch loads for high-volume markets.
- Manage reward inventory within the Inventory Management System, including stock levels, allocation across markets, and the configuration of availability and out-of-stock behaviour.
- Monitor redemption against available inventory,

and escalate depletion risk before a reward becomes unavailable to consumers.
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across the platforms in scope — our catalogue management platform, the Content Management System, and the Loyalty Management System — ensuring the same reward is represented correctly in every system it appears in.
- Apply market-specific localisation requirements, including language, currency, and regional formatting standards.

3. Quality Assurance & Release Readiness:

- Validate all incoming briefs against the agreed Definition of Ready, and return incomplete or ambiguous briefs to the requesting team rather than proceeding to build.
- Design and execute test cases derived from acceptance criteria, covering edge cases and negative scenarios in addition to standard paths.
- Perform cross-device and cross-locale verification prior to production release.
- Log defects with clear, reproducible steps and supporting evidence.
- Participate in root cause analysis where a production issue is traced to a configuration or content error.

4. Process, Documentation & Automation:

- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and runbooks for all recurring operational tasks, to a standard that allows a colleague outside the specialism to follow them.
- Identify repetitive manual activity and propose opportunities for simplification, elimination, or automation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of intake, routing, and build processes across the consolidated team.
- Track and report individual throughput and quality metrics against agreed operational SLAs.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance:

- Act as an operational point of contact for Campaign, Product, Data, and Engineering teams on promotions, content, and catalogue matters.
- Escalate capacity constraints, brief quality issues, and delivery risks promptly and with a proposed course of action.
- Ensure all activity adheres to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), security protocols, and internal governance standards.
- Support knowledge transfer and cross-training across the consolidated promotions, content, and catalogue functions.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience:

- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Marketing Operations, Campaign Operations, Content Operations, E-commerce Operations, or a comparable build-and-configure role within a technology or MarTech environment.
- Experience configuring something that went live to real users, rather than working only in test or internal environments.
- Experience operating within defined SLAs in a request-driven, ticket-based setting.

Core Capabilities — required of every candidate:

- Analytical reasoning: The ability to move from a symptom to a root cause rather than working through a script. When something renders incorrectly or a load fails, you can form a hypothesis and test it.

- Learning speed: A demonstrable record of becoming productive on an unfamiliar platform quickly, and largely under your own direction. Two of our core systems are proprietary, so this matters more here than any specific tool on a CV.
- Attention to detail under time pressure: Most failures in this work are a small configuration difference that nobody checked.
- Structured data fluency: Comfort working with data in bulk — interpreting it, validating it, and spotting what looks wrong before it is loaded. Intermediate spreadsheet capability (lookups, pivots, data validation) is essential.
- Quality ownership: You test your own work and can articulate what you tested and why. There is no separate QA gate for this team.
- Willingness to challenge: The judgement and confidence to return an incomplete brief rather than building from it.
- Written communication: Clear written English. Most collaboration across our three regions happens in writing.

Platform Experience — strong hands-on experience in at least two of the following:

- An enterprise Content Management System (e.g., Contentful, AEM) — content modelling, publishing workflows, environment management.
- A promotions engine, offers platform, or loyalty management system.
- A product, reward, or merchandise catalogue system — including bulk and batch loading.
- An inventory or stock management system — allocation, availability configuration, depletion and out-of-stock handling.
- A CRM or Customer Engagement Platform (e.g., Braze), or a marketing automation platform.
- An e-commerce platform with responsibility for product data or merchandising configuration.

Technical Aptitude — any of the following will distinguish an application:

- Reading and interpreting structured formats such as JSON or XML when diagnosing a configuration or rendering issue.
- Basic SQL for verifying data independently rather than requesting an extract.
- Scripting in any language to remove repetitive manual steps — Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Working with APIs, webhooks, or integration behaviour between systems.
- Building or maintaining operational dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Mixpanel, Tableau).

Operational Excellence:

- Rigorous approach to quality assurance, with practical experience of test case design and execution against acceptance criteria.
- Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, or process documentation.
- Exposure to incident management processes and participation in root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated attention to detail under time pressure, with the judgement to distinguish what must be escalated from what can be resolved independently.

Project & Workflow Management:

- Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow (SNOW), or comparable ticketing and workflow management tools.
- Comfortable working across multiple markets and time zones, with clear written English as the primary mode of collaboration.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- (Desirable) Certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Contentful, Braze), or in Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies.
