We are looking for a Project Manager – Innovation Labs & Infrastructure to manage the end-to-end execution and setup of Innovation Labs, Makerspaces, STEM/STEAM Labs and technology-enabled learning spaces across schools, colleges and institutional clients.
The candidate will be responsible for converting approved solution designs and project requirements into fully functional Innovation Labs by coordinating civil works, interiors, electrical, IT/networking, furniture, technology installation, vendors and site teams. The role requires strong project management, site execution, vendor coordination and client-handling skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of Innovation Lab, Makerspace, STEM/STEAM Lab and technology-enabled infrastructure projects.
- Understand approved project scope, layouts, BOQs, specifications and customer requirements before starting execution.
- Prepare project plans, timelines, execution schedules and milestone trackers and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct or coordinate site surveys to assess civil, interior, electrical, IT, networking, furniture and technology requirements.
- Coordinate civil and interior execution including flooring, painting, false ceiling, partitions, electrical work, lighting, furniture, storage, branding and lab-specific infrastructure.
- Coordinate the installation and commissioning of computers, interactive displays, networking equipment, AV systems, robotics equipment, 3D printers, IoT devices, electronics and other lab technologies.
- Coordinate with architects, civil contractors, interior vendors, electricians, fabricators, IT teams and technology vendors throughout project execution.
- Manage vendors and contractors, monitor their performance and ensure adherence to agreed timelines, specifications, quality and scope.
- Review BOQs, measurements, material specifications and project requirements and coordinate with Procurement for timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Track project costs and ensure execution remains within the approved budget.
- Identify project risks, site constraints, dependencies and potential delays and take corrective action proactively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, quality and adherence to approved designs.
- Ensure all civil, interior, electrical, IT and installation activities meet defined quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with school and institutional representatives,
facility teams, IT teams and management throughout the implementation phase.
- Act as the primary project execution contact for customers and provide regular updates on project progress, timelines and pending activities.
- Manage scope changes, additional requirements and execution-related issues in coordination with internal teams and obtain necessary approvals.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snag identification and closure before final project handover.
- Prepare project completion reports, installation checklists, asset lists, warranty documents, snag reports and other project documentation.
- Ensure complete and timely handover of the Innovation Lab to the customer and relevant internal teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different cities and ensure effective coordination of local vendors and site teams.
- Work closely with Pre-Sales, Sales, Product, Curriculum, Procurement, Technology and Operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide execution feasibility inputs during the pre-sales stage and highlight potential site, infrastructure, costing and implementation challenges.
- Provide feedback to the Pre-Sales and Product teams based on project execution experience to improve future lab designs and solutions.
- Develop and standardize project execution checklists, site survey formats, installation processes and handover procedures.
- Travel extensively across India for site surveys, project execution, inspections, vendor coordination, customer meetings and project handovers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in project execution, infrastructure, interior fit-outs, civil works, commercial projects, educational infrastructure or lab setup.
- Experience managing end-to-end site execution projects with multiple vendors and contractors.
- Experience in Innovation Labs, STEM Labs, Robotics Labs, Makerspaces, Computer Labs,
Educational Infrastructure or similar technology-enabled spaces will be an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of civil, interior, electrical and IT infrastructure coordination.
- Experience in vendor management, contractor management, material coordination and project costing.
- Ability to understand floor plans, layouts, BOQs, measurements and technical specifications.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, execution and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and project management tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
What We Are Looking For We are looking for a hands-on project execution professional who can take ownership of an Innovation Lab project from site survey through final handover. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple contractors and vendors, coordinating civil, interior, electrical, IT and technology-related activities, resolving site-level issues and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and as per the approved design and scope.
The candidate should have solid ownership and problem-solving abilities and should be capable of independently handling challenges such as site delays, vendor issues, material shortages, design changes, technical problems and customer escalations.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
