Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Solar Project Engineer to support the execution of ground-mounted solar PV power plant projects.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities, coordinating with contractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams, monitoring installation quality and safety, and ensuring project activities are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

Supervise day-to-day site execution activities for ground-mounted solar PV projects. Monitor installation of Module Mounting Structures (MMS), solar modules, inverters, cables, electrical equipment, and associated systems.

Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical execution activities at site.

Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.

Monitor manpower, productivity, equipment utilization, and daily work progress.

Identify site issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.

1. Site Coordination

Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work fronts.

Track daily and weekly project progress against planned targets.

Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, tools, machinery, and equipment.

Coordinate material receipt, inspection, storage, and issue at site.

Support project management in achieving scheduled milestones.

1. Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Ensure installation activities comply with approved drawings,



specifications, QA/QC procedures, and project standards. Monitor MMS alignment, leveling, foundation/interface conditions, structural installation, bolt torque tightening, module installation, and electrical works.

Coordinate inspections and closure of quality-related observations.

Identify deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Maintain inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation.

1. Health, Safety & Environment

Implement and monitor site safety procedures and project HSE requirements. Ensure workers and contractors comply with PPE and safe work practices.

Support toolbox talks, safety inspections, and hazard identification activities.

Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to the concerned team.

Ensure safe execution of civil, mechanical, electrical, and lifting activities.

1. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and weekly progress updates. Track manpower, material consumption, equipment utilization, and work quantities.

Prepare material reconciliation and support inventory tracking.

Maintain site records, inspection reports, checklists, work permits, and other project documentation.

Support preparation and updating of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

Provide regular progress updates and highlight delays, constraints, and critical site issues to management.

1. Testing & Commissioning Support





Support testing and commissioning activities for solar PV plant systems. Assist in coordination of electrical testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and synchronization activities.

Coordinate with electrical teams, vendors, and clients during commissioning.

Track and close project punch points and client observations.

Support final inspection, documentation, and project handover activities.

Required Qualifications

Any Degree

2–3 years of relevant experience in solar project execution, preferably in ground-mounted solar PV projects.

Basic understanding of solar PV systems, Module Mounting Structures (MMS), civil works, and electrical execution.

Willingness to work at project sites across South India.

Required Skills

Solar project site execution and supervision.

Hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar projects.

Knowledge of solar structures and installation practices.

Basic understanding of DC/AC electrical systems.

Knowledge of site measurements, leveling, alignment, and structural installation.

AutoCAD and MS Office skills.

Contractor and vendor coordination.

Progress monitoring and reporting.

Documentation and record maintenance.

Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently at project sites.

Preferred Skills

Experience in utility-scale solar power plant projects.

Exposure to HT/LT electrical systems.

Basic knowledge of SCADA and plant monitoring systems.

Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and inspection practices.

Knowledge of solar project safety standards and site HSE practices.

Experience working with EPC contractors and subcontractors.

Additional: Project-site allowances and other benefits be provided as per company policy.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
