IT for Change (ITfC) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to end digital inequality and advance just, equitable, and people-led digital futures.
ITfC works through three strategic program areas: Gender and Digital Empowerment, Public EdTech, and Just Digital Governance. The Gender and Digital Empowerment program works with adolescent girls across rural, semi-urban, and urban Karnataka, inside schools and within communities. We are currently expanding our program and are looking for a Project Associate to support program delivery, documentation, and impact reporting for our in-school interventions.

Role
This is a field-facing, ownership-driven role at the heart of the adolescent empowerment program. The Project Associate will facilitate curriculum delivery in schools, help build and apply the program's MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) systems, support funder reporting, and create digital content that documents and communicates program impact. The role bridges direct program delivery with the data, documentation, and relationship-building that sustain and grow the initiative.
Key Responsibilities
01: Program Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate the adolescent empowerment curriculum and digital skilling for adolescent girls and boys across Bengaluru schools.
- Manage field implementation across schools, colleges, and community settings, including day-to-day coordination.
02: Impact Documentation
- Document project work and contribute to program strategy and ideation.
03: Digital content creation & Dissemination
- Develop digital resources including audio/video for program curriculum, toolkits and social media.
- Support program outreach with funders and peer organizations.
04: Donor & Funder Reporting
- Own donor and funder reporting for one or more institutional partners, including narrative and data inputs.
- Track reporting timelines and compliance requirements in coordination with the program lead.
Core Competencies
- Gender and adolescent empowerment expertise: Solid grasp of gender dynamics and adolescence, with a strong commitment to feminist values and an inclusive workplace.
- Program implementation and field facilitation: Hands-on experience delivering curriculum and running activities directly with adolescents in school and/or community settings.
- Communication and content creation: Comfort with creating digital content, including audio and video, for social media and outreach, and translating program work into donor-facing narratives.
- Language proficiency: Solid hold on Kannada language (spoken, written and typing) along with English.
- Ownership and self-direction: Proven ability to independently plan, execute, and own program components end-to-end, delivering reliably.
Who We Are Looking For
- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years' experience working with adolescent girls and young women.
- Proficient in Kannada and English, spoken and written; Kannada typing is mandatory.
- Fluent with applications and tech tools, and open to picking up new tech skills.
