Pune
Company Overview :
Blue Pearl HealthTech (BPHT) is a Pune-based healthcare technology company and the maker of eLABAssist, a cloud SaaS platform serving over 2,000 pathology and radiology laboratories across India and internationally. We build end-to-end laboratory information and management systems — from patient registration and sample tracking through to reporting, billing, quality assurance, and compliance — for labs ranging from single-site diagnostics centres to large multi-location corporate chains.
Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of our next-generation healthcare platform. The role will coordinate product, engineering, QA, infrastructure, implementation, and compliance, ensuring delivery timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities :
Program planning and governance
- Own and maintain the master program plan across all workstreams — product, engineering, QA, infrastructure, implementation, and compliance — with clear milestones, owners, dependencies, and risk registers.
- Define and run the cross-workstream delivery cadence: weekly engineering and product syncs, fortnightly risk reviews, and monthly executive and stakeholder status reports.
- Maintain a live dependency map across parallel workstreams and proactively identify and resolve blockers before they affect the critical path.
- Produce board-ready and investor-level program status updates — translating technical and delivery detail into business-level progress and decision points.
Delivery and execution
- Drive delivery accountability across engineering squads and functional leads — without line management authority — through clear plans, transparent tracking, and structured escalation.
- Manage scope, schedule, and quality trade-offs with product and engineering leadership, ensuring that changes are assessed for impact across the full program before being accepted.
- Own the risk register: identify, assess, and track program-level risks across technical, resource, regulatory, and commercial dimensions, with mitigation plans for each.
- Coordinate QA and release management for major milestones — ensuring readiness gates are defined, tracked, and met before customer-facing releases.
Stakeholder management
- Serve as the primary coordination point between the co-founders,
engineering leads, product management, the business analyst team, and external implementation and sales partners.
- Manage relationships with enterprise customer accounts during platform onboarding and migration — coordinating implementation timelines, go-live plans, and escalation resolution.
- Coordinate with international sales and implementation partners as the platform expands into new geographies, managing SOW governance, delivery timelines, and partner accountability.
International expansion coordination
- Coordinate multi-region deployment and compliance requirements across target markets including India, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the United States — working with legal, data, and engineering to track regulatory calendars.
- Manage localisation and market-specific customisation workstreams — ensuring locale, language, currency, and regulatory requirements are captured, prioritised, and delivered on schedule.
- Onboard and manage international implementation partners: structured partner onboarding, SOW governance, delivery accountability, and escalation management.
Process and documentation
- Establish and maintain delivery processes, templates, and documentation standards for the program — including decision logs, RAID logs, sprint planning artefacts, and release notes.
- Drive continuous improvement of delivery practices across the engineering and product teams, identifying bottlenecks and introducing lightweight process improvements without adding bureaucracy.
Whar we are Looking for :
- 8+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 3 years managing large, multi-workstream technology programs — platform rebuilds, SaaS product development, or enterprise ERP/LIMS implementations — not just feature-level delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing programs that span multiple functional teams (engineering, product, QA, infrastructure, customer success) with accountability for the overall plan rather than one workstream.
- Direct experience coordinating software rollouts across international geographies — managing localisation requirements, regulatory compliance calendars, and partner delivery accountability across at least two countries or regions.
- Strong stakeholder management: comfortable engaging with co-founders and senior leadership, enterprise customers, and external partners in the same week, with communication calibrated to each audience.
- Excellent written communication: capable of producing a detailed dependency map for an engineering lead and a clean, concise board update for investors from the same underlying program data.
- Solid command of program management tools and practices: Gantt/milestone planning, RAID logs, dependency tracking, risk management, and release governance — applied pragmatically, not ceremonially.
Preferred experience
- Prior experience in healthcare IT, diagnostics, laboratory information systems, hospital information systems, or adjacent regulated software — with exposure to compliance frameworks such as NABL, NABH, ISO 15189, HIPAA, or CAP.
- Experience managing ISV-to-enterprise go-to-market programs — coordinating sales engineering, customer implementation, and post-go-live support as a unified delivery motion.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted SaaS product delivery on Azure or AWS — understanding infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and multi-tenant architecture at a conceptual level sufficient to track dependencies and risks.
- PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification is a plus, though demonstrated delivery track record is weighted more heavily.
How you work
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity — building structure and clarity where none exists, without waiting for someone else to define the framework first.
- You default to written, asynchronous communication and treat clear documentation as a skilled habit, not an afterthought.
- You escalate early and with options — bringing problems with proposed mitigations to leadership, not just status updates.
- You hold people accountable without friction — clear, consistent, and direct without being adversarial.
- You are genuinely curious about the domain and motivated by the complexity of building software that serves clinical and diagnostic workflows.
