The Symbiosis Skills and Professional University invites applications from accomplished academicians, researchers, defence technology professionals, and industry experts for the position of Professor - School of Construction Engineering & Infrastructure Management.

Educational Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a relevant specialization.
- Ph.D. in a relevant area of Construction, Civil Engineering, or an allied discipline from a recognized university/institution.

Ph.D. Requirement

- The candidate must have been awarded the Ph.D. on or before 2015.

Post-Ph.D. Experience

- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional/academic/research experience after completion of the Ph.D.
- Experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and/or relevant industry engagement in Construction or Civil Engineering will be preferred.

Research & Publications

- Minimum 8 research papers published in journals/conferences indexed in Scopus.
- Demonstrated research contribution in relevant areas of Construction, Civil Engineering, or allied disciplines.
- Experience in securing research projects, consultancy, patents, or other scholarly contributions will be an added advantage.

Ph.D. Supervision

- Successfully guided a minimum of 2 Ph.D. scholars whose degrees have been awarded.
- Experience in supervising postgraduate dissertations and undergraduate projects is desirable.





Accreditation & Administrative Experience

- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in an academic institution or relevant educational/research organization.
- Experience in academic administration, accreditation, quality assurance, curriculum development, institutional committees, or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with accreditation and ranking frameworks and higher-education regulatory requirements will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level teaching.
- Develop and update courses, curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methodologies.
- Lead and undertake high-impact research in Construction and Civil Engineering.
- Supervise Ph.D. scholars, postgraduate dissertations, and student research projects.
- Publish research in reputed indexed journals and conferences.
- Develop research collaborations with academic institutions, industry, and skilled organizations.
- Participate in consultancy, sponsored research, and industry-oriented projects.
- Contribute to accreditation, academic quality assurance, and institutional development activities.
- Undertake academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the School/University.
- Mentor faculty members and students
