Role Description The Professor of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science – Foundation at PW will design and deliver foundational courses for school-level and competitive exam preparation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Baharampur, focused on classroom teaching, doubt-solving, and concept reinforcement across the assigned subjects.

The role involves creating structured lesson plans, developing learning materials and practice problems, and aligning content with PW’s curriculum standards and examination patterns. The professor will regularly assess learner performance through tests and assignments, provide constructive feedback, and support learners with varied academic backgrounds. Collaboration with academic teams to refine curriculum, contribute to digital content,



and participate in teacher training and academic quality initiatives is also expected.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to explain foundational concepts clearly and systematically.
- Solid grounding in Physics and Physical Science, including conceptual understanding and problem-solving for school and foundation-level exams.
- Proficiency in Statistics, with skills to teach data interpretation, probability, and related topics relevant to foundational curricula.
- Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development, including structuring courses, designing lesson plans, and creating assessments aligned to learning outcomes.
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Education); exceptional bachelor’s degree holders with strong teaching credentials may be considered.
- Prior classroom teaching experience in foundation or entrance exam preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to engage diverse learners and use learner-centered teaching methods.
- Comfort with using educational technology tools, digital content, and learning management platforms in teaching and assessment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic teams, adapt to feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practices.
