Role Description The Professor of Mechanical Engineering will deliver high-quality instruction in core mechanical engineering subjects, including areas such as robotics, heat transfer, and solid mechanics. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating curricula, teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, mentoring students, guiding research projects, and supervising laboratory and project work relevant to smart parking systems and infrastructure. The role also involves collaborating with industry teams at HPIPL to align academic content with current technological developments,



participating in academic committees, contributing to publications, and supporting innovation in mechanical design and automation.

This is a full-time, gender-neutral, non-discriminatory position. It is a hybrid role based in Delhi, India, with a mix of on-site responsibilities and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals, including Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics.
- Proficiency in Robotics and automation concepts applicable to smart infrastructure and parking systems.
- Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development for mechanical engineering programs.
- Proven ability to conduct independent and collaborative Research, with a record of publications or projects.
- Doctoral or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the university or institute level, with effective classroom and lab management skills.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools and engineering software commonly used in design and analysis.
- Solid communication and mentoring abilities, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
- Interest in sustainable engineering, smart city solutions, and industry–academia collaboration is highly beneficial.
