Position Summary The Senior Officer - Production Curing (PCR) manages shift operations within the high-speed Passenger Car Radial curing department. This role demands a solid technical focus on high-volume automation, precise mold-segment movements, and aesthetic perfection required for passenger car tyres. The ideal candidate will optimize multi-cavity automated curing press lines, reduce cosmetic/uniformity defects, and lead shop-floor operators to meet aggressive daily production targets safely.

Key Responsibilities

1. High-Volume PCR Operations

- Cycle Time Optimization: Maximize automated curing press lines (e.g., dual-cavity mechanical or hydraulic presses) to ensure seamless, high-volume PCR throughput.

- Line Balance & Handovers: Coordinate green tyre supply feeds from building to curing tables, managing automated loading/unloading systems to maintain a continuous, zero-idle operation.

- OEE & Downtime Tracking: Monitor shift metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimize Dry Cycle Time (DCT) through efficient mold scheduling.

2. PCR Process Control & Technology

- Recipe Integrity: Ensure strict adherence to specific PCR curing recipes, precisely managing internal/external heating mediums (steam, nitrogen, or hot water cycles).

- Segmented Mold & Bladder Care: Oversee the handling of precision segmented molds (featuring intricate tread patterns and micro-vents) and optimize bladder life cycles to prevent sidewall layout variations.

- TC & Trial Support: Assist the Technical and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams during new PCR size validation, mold conversions,



and thermocouple (TC) heat-profile studies.

3. Uniformity & Quality Assurance

- Defect Elimination: Diagnose and eliminate cosmetic and structural PCR curing defects, including air traps, heavy flashes, micro-vent clogging, and bareness.

- Uniformity Focus: Work closely with the Final Inspection and Quality teams to trace and eliminate curing-related uniformity issues (Radial Run-Out, Force Variation) that impact high-speed passenger car performance.

- Traceability Compliance: Ensure 100% data logging in the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for barcode scanning and individual green-to-cured tyre traceability.

4. Safety, Lean & 5S

- Risk Mitigation: Enforce safety protocols surrounding high-pressure hydraulic lines, hot mold areas, and automated PCR tire ejection zones.

- Lean Manufacturing: Maintain a spotless, organized workplace utilizing 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure premium automotive-tier audit readiness (IATF 16949).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Chemical Engineering, or a Diploma in Rubber Technology.

- Experience: 6 to 8 years of manufacturing experience, dedicated to PCR (Passenger Car Radial) tyre curing operations.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automated dual-cavity hydraulic/mechanical curing presses, segmented molds, nitrogen curing processes, and PCR defect troubleshooting.

- System Exposure: Hands-on experience with MES, barcode tracking systems, and SAP (PP/QM modules).
