Role & responsibilities

1. Plan and monitor production activities as per project schedules, drawings, and production targets.
2. Manage fabrication processes including cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly, grinding, and finishing.
3. Coordinate with Design, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Project teams to ensure smooth production flow.
4. Monitor manpower, material, machinery, and shop-floor productivity to achieve daily/weekly targets.
5. Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings, WPS, specifications, and quality standards.
6. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, rework, material shortages, and process issues.
7. Monitor material utilization, wastage, and fabrication efficiency and implement improvement measures.
8. Maintain production reports, progress tracking, job cards, and daily shop-floor records.
9. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, 5S, housekeeping,



and PPE requirements on the shop floor.
10. Drive productivity, cost optimization, process improvement, and on-time delivery of fabricated steel structures.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 68 years of relevant experience in steel/structural steel fabrication.
- Strong hands-on experience in shop-floor production, fabrication, welding, fit-up, cutting, and assembly.
- Experience in production planning, manpower/material coordination, productivity monitoring, and achieving production targets.
- Positive knowledge of fabrication drawings, WPS, quality standards, safety practices, 5S, and basic MS Excel/ERP.
